Rockingham Wing, Kettering General Hospital
The Maple Ward, located within the Rockingham Wing at Kettering General Hospital, has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. MCS Interiors was entrusted with a full range of services to transform the space, ensuring it meets modern healthcare standards while improving both functionality and safety. The refurbishment involved the construction of new partition walls to create additional bed bays, private shower and toilet facilities, as well as offices, store rooms, and access corridors.
MCS Interiors also completed essential fire protection measures, including firestopping and beam encasements. To further improve the ward’s environment, new ceiling grid systems were installed, featuring Elevate Easy care tiles. These tiles were specifically selected for their wipeable finish, making them easy to clean, and their humidity resistance, which is crucial in a healthcare setting where moisture levels can vary.
