Various Tesco Express
Following inspection within Tesco Express stores across the UK, MCS have completed maintenance and upgrade works in 17 stores, to uphold the fire compartmentation and separation between the retail and back of house areas, and the residential accommodation located above the stores. Existing columns and beams have been encased using Glasroc-F Firecase boards, offering 180-minutes protection to structural steelwork from fire damage.
Service cables and pipework for systems such as the store alarms, roller shutters, chillers and CCTV were all sealed, with any all cables offered increased protection using high pressure intumescent sealant.
