Partitions and Suspended Ceilings

LIDL Partition and Ceiling Works, Nottingham

How MCS Interiors assisted the works for a brand new LIDL, West Bridgford, Nottingham.

MCS Interiors were commissioned to undertake all partitioning and ceiling works for a new supermarket in West Bridgford. The partitioning works consisted of over-boarding a 64m length of spine blockwork walls within the new store, providing a smooth surface ready for painting and decoration.

The ceiling of LIDL’s bakery area was installed using an exposed grid with metal lay-in tiles. Easy to keep clean and of a simple design, this ceiling solution is best suited for environments such as supermarkets. For this project, it was also essential that the ceiling installed was fire-proof which is another key advantage of using an exposed ceiling grid with metal lay-in tiles.

The remaining areas including the lobby, canteen and toilets were fitted with a mineral fibre tile. MCS Interiors opted to install this solution due to its noise-reduction properties, thermal and fire-resistant benefits which were an essential consideration during this project.
